Strong Missions brings your group safe, affordable and fully-organized mission/adventure trips to Costa Rica, the “Switzerland of Central America,” and helps the people therein, especially children, gain the basic resources necessary for a healthy life.  Strong Missions does so while giving you many choices regarding your team trip.

Mission opportunities include home, public school and church construction and repair, construction and repair in orphanages, schools for children with Cerebral Palsy or Down Syndrome, schools for the motor, hearing and sight impaired, and participation in feeding programs for children, wheelchair and book donation/distribution, education grants, etc. General medical teams can now be utilized in Los Guido, Desamparados.  Also through new mission site tours, those who wish to contribute to the work but who for whatever reason are not able to do the physical labor can still have a major role in the completion of projects, all while seeing the work-sites up close and visiting with the recipients of the projects themselves, including families, children, church members, incredible school and orphanage staff, etc.  Such teams can also work more directly with children, sharing crafts and playing in orphanages and special needs schools. Lodging ranges from modest to moderate accommodations. 

Adventure excursions include volcanoes, beaches, waterfalls, rain/cloud forests, wildlife preserves, etc., and additional outings are available at an additional cost from Costa Rican tour agencies (tree zip line canopy rides, white-water rafting, paragliding, horseback riding, four-wheeling, scuba, snorkeling, butterfly observatories, hot springs, etc.).  In addition, from registration to the completion of the trip, your group will have personal contact with your group’s individual Spanish/English speaking guide, trained by Charlie Strong (UMVIM Individual Volunteer in Costa Rica).
